Fentanyl Laced Oxycodone Pills are Deadly
I get it. Sometimes the truth is a bit too much for people, especially when it’s regarding something that has no effect on their lives.
The opioid crisis is real. TV shows like Dopesick have done a great job of educating the public, but opioid addiction is still somewhat an “underground” crisis.
On March 9, 2022 I posted an article on Google My Business about people dying from fake oxycodone pills that are laced with fentanyl.
Yes, it was a strong article and not meant for all ages.. Or is it?
Here’s the concern:
If you have children of most any age that are exposed to other kids who may or may not have a connection to street drugs, then you need to be discussing drugs with them. Right Now.
Oxycodone pills are being manufactured, I assume in a jungle somewhere, that are not only not actual oxycodone, they are laced with fentanyl.
Right now in the U.S., these “fake oxycodone pills” are flooding the streets and are very easy to obtain. Making matters worse, they are cheaper than real oxycodone pills.
Oh, and they are deadly. Like, over 100,000 deaths and rising kind of deadly.
About Fentanyl
Fentanyl is 50 to 100-times stronger than morphine.
If you compare fentanyl with grains of salt, just two grains is a lethal dose.
Over 50% of the fake fentanyl pills analyzed by the DEA had a lethal amount of fentanyl in them.
Over 100,000 deaths in the last year have occured due to people taking these pills unknowingly.
These pills look exactly like a pharmaceutically-made oxycodone pill.
So far, most of these fake pills have a 30 mg imprint on them, but this could vary.
The First Pill Might Be Your Last
This is so serious. Can you imagine your child accepting a pill from a friend, not knowing it’s a fake oxycodone pill with a deadly dose of fentanyl in it?
I Don’t Care if I Scare People — If it Saves Just One Life, Than I’ve Done My Job
Please, I’m begging you, talk to your children about pills and street drugs. Please.
Spread the word. Tell everyone. Educate your children, friends and family about these dangerous pills.
If you know anyone struggling with opoioid addiction, then help them find treatment.
A good Suboxone program can eliminate withdrawals and cravings, whiule also uncovering and coping with the emotional and psycological reasons that motivate drug usage.
If you live in Tennessee and seek treatment for drug abuse:
Both Nashville Recovery and Recovery Care of Columbia provide stellar programs for opioid abuse using Suboxone and private therapy.
Both clinics provide Suboxone by telemedicine and in clinic visits. Recovery Care accepts most insurance plans, and both clinics offer a self-pay program for only $350 per month.
Did You Know?
Most people who buy drugs on the street spend over $2000 per month to sustain their drug habit? $350 per month for Suboxone treatment is not only cheap, it also saves money, can change lives and even save lives.
