The Ruth Clinic has been a staple Suboxone clinic in Maury County, TN, providing opioid addiction treatment using medication-assisted therapy (MAT) to those in Columbia, Tennessee, who suffer from opioid use disorder.

Medication-assisted treatment using Suboxone is currently the number one treatment for opioid use disorder, combining Suboxone medications to relieve withdrawals and cravings and individual therapy sessions with a Tennessee-licensed counselor.

If you live in Columbia, TN, or anywhere else in or near Maury County, TN, and are seeking to become a patient at a Suboxone clinic near you, we have found a solution.

Patients currently at The Ruth Clinic in Columbia, Tennessee, may continue their Suboxone treatment without interruption. Recovery Care Of Columbia, a TennCare BeSMART-certified clinic, is accepting former Ruth Clinic patients.

Transitioning Your Suboxone Treatment from The Ruth Clinic to Recovery Care Of Columbia

Patients of The Ruth Clinic who are currently in a Suboxone treatment program may transition to Recovery Care of Columbia’s Virtual Suboxone Treatment Program without any delay in receiving medications.

Here’s how to make this transition from the Ruth Clinic to Recovery Care of Columbia’s Virtual Suboxone Treatment Program;

  • Ruth Clinic patients must register for Recovery Care of Columbia’s virtual Suboxone treatment program by clicking one of the following links:
  • TennCare Medicaid Suboxone Treatment
  • Commercial Insurance Suboxone Treatment
  • Self-Pay Suboxone Treatment
  • After completing the registration process, former Ruth Clinic patients will undergo a brief phone interview and will be scheduled for an appointment either on the same day or within one day of their registration every Monday through Friday.
  • Former Ruth Clinic patients must sign a HIPAA Part 2 medical records release to have all medical records transferred from the Ruth Clinic to Recovery Care of Columbia.

Again, there is no need for any interruption in receiving your Suboxone medications if you act promptly. Registration takes only a few minutes. Your appointments with Recovery Care of Columbia will all be “virtual” using only your cell phone, so there’s no travel involved.

Other Factors Former Ruth Clinic Patients Should Consider

Former Ruth Clinic Monthly Suboxone Patients
If you are taking Suboxone and were formerly seen at the Ruth Clinic once every four weeks, this is known as Suboxone Maintenance Phase 2. Please understand that as a new patient at Recovery Care of Columbia, your phase of treatment could change temporarily until your treatment history and all prior medical records have been examined and your new treatment plan is established.

Former Ruth Clinic Biweekly Suboxone Patients

If you are taking Suboxone and were formerly seen at the Ruth Clinic once every two weeks, this is known as Suboxone Maintenance Phase 1. Please understand that as a new patient in Recovery Care of Columbia’s Virtual Suboxone Program, your phase of treatment could change temporarily until your treatment history and all prior medical records have been examined and your new treatment plan is established.

Former Ruth Clinic Weekly Suboxone Patients

If you are taking Suboxone and were formerly seen at the Ruth Clinic once every week, this is known as the Suboxone Stabilization Phase. Your treatment program is likely to remain the same until your treatment history and all prior medical records have been examined and your new treatment plan is established.

Benefits of the Telemedicine Suboxone Clinic Program at Recovery Care of Columbia

  • 100% Online/Virtual Suboxone Program for Tennessee
All appointments will be performed using your cell phone, PC, or tablet. You will never need to visit the clinic at Recovery Care of Columbia.
  • Suboxone Medication Delivery
All former Ruth Clinic patients gain the great benefit of having their Suboxone medications delivered to their door. However, if you are more comfortable using a local pharmacy, perhaps a pharmacy you already established with and who currently dispenses Suboxone medications for you now or in the past, you may opt for that as well. The choice is up to you.
Please note: Recovery Care of Columbia’s pharmacy partner charges a small delivery fee of approximately $12 for shipping your Suboxone medications. Your Suboxone will often be delivered to your door in 24 hours or less. A local pharmacy may also be used temporarily to partially fill your Suboxone medications while in transit.

Recovery Care of Columbia’s Virtual Suboxone Program Requirements

As a former patient at Ruth Clinic in Columbia, TN, please understand the following requirements before joining the Virtual Suboxone Clinic Treatment Program at Recovery Care of Columbia:

  • A Mobile Device, Tablet or PC with a Video Camera
A mobile device, tablet, or PC with a video camera capable of two-way audio and video transmission. Two-way audio and video transmission is a requirement for being treated and receiving Suboxone medications. If we can’t see and hear you, we can’t provide you with telemedicine Suboxone treatment.
  • High-speed Wi-Fi connectivity
High-speed Wi-Fi connectivity is required for all virtual appointments. While cellular connectivity is often strong enough for two-way video transmission, a wifi hotspot is required to ensure your appointment is completed without interruptions or delays. Please note: Pay-by-the-minute cell phone plans will not work for virtual Suboxone appointments.
  • Virtual Drug Screens/Private Restroom
Virtual drug screens will be performed at each visit after your first visit. On your first visit, you will not be required to undergo a drug screen. Drug screen testing supplies will be mailed to you in time for your second visit. Please make sure you have access to a private restroom at the start of each virtual Suboxone appointment to complete your mandatory drug screens.
  • All Drug Screens Must be Mailed Within 24 Hours
After each virtual Suboxone appointment, you will need to take your sealed drug screen to either a USPS Post Office or drop it into a USPS Blue Box. This requirement ensures your drug screen will reach the Recovery Care of Columbia lab in time to be tested and results provided prior to your next virtual Suboxone appointment. Failing to mail your drug screens within 24 hours of your appointments will likely result in changes to your treatment plan and phases of treatment.
  • Honesty
We realize that life happens, people make mistakes, and incidents occur. We also realize that although relapse doesn’t have to be a part of your recovery program, it can happen. Sadly, relapse can be a part of anyone’s recovery program, no matter how long they’ve been in recovery. That said, we expect you to be honest with us if and when relapse occurs. By knowing a relapse has occurred, we can provide a higher level of care and support to help prevent relapse in the future. If you’re not honest with us, we probably can’t help you.
  • Three Sessions Per Appointment
Each telemedicine Suboxone clinic appointment in Recovery Care of Columbia’s online drug addiction treatment program consists of three separate video sessions. Your virtual Suboxone appointments will typically take at least one hour. All three of the following sessions must be completed on the same day:
    - A video drug screen
    - 25 minutes of counseling (group or individual)
    - Provider visit (Your provider will prescribe your Suboxone medications)
  • Group and Individual Counseling Sessions
Recovery Care of Columbia utilizes a combination of group and individual counseling sessions. Individual counseling sessions are used whenever intakes and assessments are required. Group counseling sessions are used for most other sessions.

Other Factors to Consider

  • Late Check-in’s
We respect your time and expect you to respect our time in return. Patients who check in on time are given priority. Patients who check in late are placed on a “standby” list. Standby patients are seen only if time permits during regular business hours and are not guaranteed an appointment. If you are placed on standby as a result of checking in late and are not seen that day, you will be scheduled for the next available day and time. Please understand that medications cannot be prescribed without all three appointment sessions being completed on the same day.
  • Delays
Although we take every measure to ensure your appointment is completed in a timely fashion, we cannot guarantee it will be completed within a specific timeframe. While telemedicine has tremendous advantages and benefits, it does not always mean shorter appointment times. Unforeseen delays can and do occur, which may delay the time between appointment sessions. When this happens, we take every measure possible to get your appointment completed as quickly as possible.

Register today for telemedicine Suboxone treatment and have your Suboxone shipped to your door using our online Suboxone pharmacy.
